Recently had an health professional visit us and she aske me if I had any hobbies and just as soon as I mentioned metal detecting she chimed in that both she and her husband were swingers; naaa, not that type of swingers! Both of the above were swinging XP Deus machines and highly recomended them. Bitch!!!!!

Crumbs, it's quiet in here! Reminds me of that old Pink Floyd tune...
Anyway, moving on.
The time has come to retire my old Safari, too heavy and doesn't make detecting a pleasure anymore. Been looking for a lightweight alternative. Always been happy with the Safari and have in fairness picked out some nice silver amongst the half ton of bottle caps and cans so want something equally capable.
The Deus being a lightweight detector is a good start but I don't have much idea on it's capability and shortcomings. I have read about that there is a quite significant issue with it's discrimination process which could lead to missing good targets?
If anyone drops by do chime in if you have any thoughts on the Deus...
HH everyone.

Sorry, I can't help but there used to be plenty of folk on here who could but I think that most have emigrated to Facebook.

Hmmm, interesting; a chemical engineer I once knew used similar to make nice, smart-looking, kuff links.

If I am reading it right, the bottom text is Roman Numerals which to me looks to be MCMLXXIX which is 1979! If I have got one of the letters wrong then just type the correct text in google and you will get a date. Looking at it 1979 looks about right for age. Jon.

Has a US military look about it but I was unable to read the script; any chance of a better pic showing the lettering?

Hello all.
Found this sometime back and was wondering if anyone could ID it.
Doesn't have a great age to it due to condition, loop at the back is intact but would be good to get a rough idea and where it might have come from.
Thanks.
