Title: Wet weather clothing
Post by: I will find it on February 13, 2011, 10:07:04 PM
Hi guys and Gals

I'm looking for some reasonably priced wet weather gear (breathable, resistant etc).  Any recommendations of a supplier in this vast universe?

Try E-bay, army surplus, get gortex gear if you can.

Hi Madge

Can recommend Equestrianclearance.com   Loads to choose from and good prices. Coats, over Trousers and waterproof Boots. Army and Navy Stores are always a good bet, if there's one near you and also Farm Feed Suppliers. They mostly carry a good stock of all sorts at good prices for Farmers and Riders and usually have water-proof gloves as well.

Happy hunting. ;D

Val

Here's a tip for buying  wet weather gear on ebay,,,,,, most people (detectorists) seem to want camouflage clothing , so they can creep up on their unsuspecting finds,,,,, lol

Seriously though, camo wet weather gear is the most expensive ,,,, if your not that fussy , go for some surplus RAF blue gortex, most of it is nearly new, and half the price of camo gear.

Good advice Mike......Yes RAF clothing is a good bet as they never go out in the rain and only work part time ;D
