Title: The NCMD Of The 1980s
Post by: Spooyt Vane on March 22, 2009, 08:01:53 AM
Just a few pictures of 1980s Oxford rallies featuring some of original NCMD. Can you  name them and should they be honoured
by the hobby for their achievements in saving the hobby.

Nice pics. Have you got any names and what were the detectors back then. How about a little write up on them.

well let's see the detector i see in shot is a laser b1 type or tesoro.around that time there where loads just like today with the exception of a few.
c-scopes  like the 1220 and fishers m-scope  ruled the roost whites beachcombers  were good bounty hunters were about i used a c-scope 330 back then still works.....
back in the days.
pulse inductors ruled the beaches with their depth and gold finds...
no multi frequency yet but only around the corner .
what an era if only i had realised what hammered coins were back then i'd have been on feilds back then....
