Out of curisosity was that a small Excellerator E coli you were using on the Explorer towards the end? I had one come with my Explorer II and have never put it on - just wondering what you think of it? That was my mate trying out his Explorer on site, unfortunately the only machine that found any gold was the DFX with the 9x6 Eclipse coil, in all metal on 15KhZ. The coil that i'm using at the end of the video was the smaller 4x6 coil, because the archies put so many nails as markers in the trench , it was the only coil I could use without picking up iron all the time. The only machine i've found that beats the DFX on small gold, is the T2 special edition set on CL. I wonder how many ounces the hoard came too, and the current value of gold per ounce, it probably isn't that much more than the scrap value (bearing in mind the gold quality will be pure). I'd thought the one thick gold bangle alone would be more than what they paid you. It certainly doesn't encourage other hoard finders to do the honourable thing as you have done. Great post Neil Hi Steve I'm glad the Deus was able to pick up the small piece of pure gold you had that others had trouble with. The audio was good but the VDI was all over the place. Strange that other machines should have problems with it. Later the same day I dug several brass bullet cartridges the same size as the piece of gold with good audio/VDI so it's all to do with the conductivity. It was certainly food for thought about how different frequencies hit on different metals better.
