Every year we have a thread regarding members wish list of Detecting finds for the coming year.

I'll get the ball rolling - this year I would be over the moon to find any of the following:

Bronze Age Axe Head, Spear Head or Gouge.
Vessica Seal - with ledgible legend.
Medieval bronze key.
Pilgrims Apulla.
Anything Celtic.

I may be being a tad optimistic, but you got to have targets in life.  ::)

well, my wishlist would have to be

a silver thimble
a vessica seal matrix
a stater or potin,
a medieval posy ring, and
a 1933 penny

I would like to find this year a bronze age axe head, and also something roman (to be found local to me) as in the 10 years i've been detecting i've only found half a roman brooch around here! A sovereign or guinea would be nice too ;D

a new radiator for the car!!..lol

Mine have been the same for a couple of years:

Celtic coin (gold preferred, but any will do!)
Gold hammered
Anglo-Saxon coin
Facing bust groat
Medieval seal matrix
Papal bulla

my wish for this year is to go tectin as little as possible and find as much as possible ;D ;D

Mine is:

Anything celtic or roman as I've had neither.
A pre-victorian gold guinea
A crotal bell

Same as last year-A roman silver coin,not too much to ask is it?

mine will be a roman broch , 1 gold noble, 2 stater and a few roman coins thats all .

I was spoiled last year and after 32 years digging yesterdays loses my wish list is now quite small.
A Saxon brooch
Gold hammered  (I don't want to be too picky, but a Double Leopard would be nice ::) )
Celtic coin   (any)

My wish for 2011 is that you all find what you are looking for.

For me, a good Saxon Hammie would be nice, An Offa I couldn't refuse.

On my wish list is a henry v111 hammered with the fat face

still top of my list is a CROTAL BELL !!.....byron

A GOOD FIELD with plenty of age to it lol

Id like to find a COMPLETE crotal bell just to annoy Bymatt 666  with   he he he !

he he i love these tectin wish lists,if i was a betting man i would bet there is probably 4 regular members on here that will clean up all our wish lists this year[maybe even nobbys radiator ;D]but thats the beauty of the hobby,,,,,you just never know.

Top of my wish list is the wisdom not to detect in the wrong places. And then, just one nice silver coin. I'm not greedy, one will do. ::)

my wishlist for 2011  ,any gold item ,commonwealth coin ,saxon coin / brooch ,roman enamled brooch ,jews harp ,complete crotal bell ,if i manage just one of these i will be over the moon  ;)

i think a full soverign would make my year..

i would like most of the sand to get blown off the beaches so we could get at the gold and really old coins.not much to ask for lol ::)

Well guys and girls with just 7 weeks remaining, what did you manage to cross off your wish lists?
I got my Celtic coin but unless I have massive luck the Saxon brooch (unlikely) and gold hammy will be on next years list and probably the next and then the next etc etc ;)

Well after missing a good chunk of the year due to un forseen circumstances I would still Like a Henry VIII coin or a Commonwealth coin and I still like my milled coinage. Would like to find a nice Bronze Age Axe. Not a big ask is it.  ::)

Well I've had one off my list so far, which is a medieval seal matrix. Is there hope of any of the others before Dec 31st?

another 1 off my wish{sort of} list this year as i wanted a saxon coin but so far ended up with a saxon luminar ? broach,yes geoff {sigh ;D}i will post pics soon as the flo has fininshed with it.

LOL. Well done Paul on crossing the brooch off the list, I'm afraid I can only dream of finding one down here, in fact the only ones I've seen found in the whole of Somerset look suspiciously Roman ;)
