Title: Another successfull recovery
Post by: Al.Thepastfinder, ( Alan ) on October 15, 2010, 09:46:24 AM
I had a plea  for help when i got in late Tuesday,  A lady had been out playing golf on Llantrisant Golf coarse when  she lost her Gold watch,  i arrange to meet her there at 4 o'clock next day to do a search with my metal detector,
but soon after starting out my throttle cable snapped,,  the A.A, couldn't fix it so i got him to tow me to a garage in Cardiff for my Brother  in law to see to the next day, ,

i told the woman we 'll see what we can do tomorrow if i get the car back.
I had a call at 4 pm to say its fixed, my daughter offered me a lift down for it,  so i phoned the woman's house to get her to meet me at 5,  her hubby said she's already there in case you turn up,  so i phoned her mobile and got her to reluctantly turn back, she'd just left there,
She said oh no, is it worth it, ???  i persuaded her that it was, lol, we wouldn't be able to get on there over the next 3 days,  Friday and the weekend and it will be busey there too,   so lets do it now before its too late,

after half hour on the fairway we found it lying on the surface,  the grass had been cut as well,  good job it wasn't the low cut like on the greens,  it got me a Big hug anyhow, and a face full of delight,   12 of them had slowly searched along  there in a close  line on Tuesday too.

She didn't know the value, Her Son had bought it for her for Christmas and said knowing him it would be over £100,  but its not that she said ,  its the sentimental value,

Alan,

Thanks Dave me ole Mucker,  Hope you enjoyed your birthday and that ole  Glenfiddich ,   :P

Alan, ha ha,  she did offer me £10 for petrol which i refused,   but she stuck it into my pocket when i put my detetector and shovel up onto my shoulders and insisted i keep it for my petrol,
i split it with my daughter for her petrol for running me about, without her i wouldn't have got there mate,
 Alan
