Title: Dillema Micronta et Sov2
Post by: rob_kay on June 14, 2010, 10:12:59 PM
Ok, not an easy one here but maybe it is an easy one?

8 years ago (not going to go star wars on you here), I was married, was hooked on MD from a kid and got a Sov2.

Loved it, had gone and found about 4 acres here and there to look at, even touched base with some other like minded souls to go on their land (don't ask as I have NO IDEA where they took me but it was medieval)

So, 8 years on, I still have the bug (personal situations and health and etc allowing now!), and I don't have a Sov2 (good cos I don't miss the weight , bad cos I don't have one of the best dogs ****)

Point of the post is: I have a Micronta 4003 which a friend of mine is thinking of buying off me for a pressie for his son who is still at pre secondary age (which I will give him for price of a stamp)

My mate says he wants something he can do with his son. His lad is 11, and has ADHD but has shown a bit of interest in MD.

What I would like on a perfect world is to take the sprogster to a meet, with me and his dad maybe using someones spares on the day as we don't have our own proper detectors and if we need to, at least pretend we know what were doing.

I know this is a big ask, to use someone else's machines.

what do you think- long shot?
