Title: detecting spade Post by: zorro on March 09, 2009, 02:02:19 PM not sure if anyones interested but B&Q are selling a 27" long round bladed spade, made by roughneck, for only £8.98.
the same ones that are advertised by Treasure island for £16 +£5.50 P&P.and by Regton for £14.69 + £3.49 P&P they are really well made and have a lifetime warranty. Ideal for 'tecting, and nice size to hook onto a belt. Or you could, grab yourself and OAP drag them down to B&Q on a wednesday and save another 10%. Title: Re: detecting spade Post by: zorro on April 04, 2009, 12:37:39 PM Ian both myself and my father (b ea ch boy) have used the spade and have no problem with it at all its really well made, we've put a small metal plate bracket on the stem held with a jubillee clip so that it clips onto a belt to save carrying it by hand. the spar hand can then be used to carry a mars bar, cup of tea etc hahaha
Title: Re: detecting spade Post by: Richy on April 04, 2009, 03:07:52 PM Ah right, that explains it Kev, I saw said spade at the Caerleon rally and my first thoughts were "some cheapskate has put jubilee clips around his spade to hold it together rather than buy a new one"
Apologies my friend.lol. :) :) Richy. Title: Re: detecting spade Post by: zorro on April 04, 2009, 05:40:24 PM no worries richy, more like "that lazy bugger's hanging it on his belt to save carrying it" ;)
