Title: Anyone detected Dawlish Beach before? Post by: Neil on May 13, 2010, 09:40:49 PM I am off to Dawlish Warren for a few days tomorrow and as usual I am packing the detector. ::)

Post by: detectordave on May 13, 2010, 09:53:59 PM Try to detect in the small stones about halfway down the beach,dont bother going all the way along the beach after the forth groyne you will get very little.Don't forget to detect the paths from the beach that go behind the shopping area there will be a good mix of modern and some of the older stuff,

Post by: melonhead on May 15, 2010, 07:51:25 AM hi neil i was in dawlish warren a few weeks ago the beach was full of bullets and shrapnell you would be bettter off going to exmouth beach on the starcross ferry the river mouth around the rocks at low tide is great i had loads of modern and older stuff have a look at gary ql u tube vidioes on detecting exmouth
