Title: Silver buttons? Post by: farmer(phil) on May 09, 2010, 08:04:03 PM Nice out today.Me and Melonhead decided we'd get out again.Couple of others unavailable.Tried another new field. Found the usual coppers , buttons and buckles. Didn't find our usual silver coin though, but found these ???
Peter, Any idea? My first thoughts were a smaller Victorian hatpin. Got one the same style of twisted filigree work. Then 10 minutes later , found another!!!! Cleaned up, they've came up nice , but got a button type eyelet on the back. 30mm diameter x 10 mm- double layered Farmer Phil 8) ;) Title: Re: Silver buttons? I've put them on ukdfd and they wanted more photos of the shank. tell you the results, but still believe them to be Victorian, but hope they're older.
