Title: Help with Headphones
Post by: mary on March 06, 2009, 12:30:02 PM
Please can anyone out there help with the problem I have with my headphones?
They have all of a sudden gone dead! >:( Think a wire is loose somewhere or other, they are Sunray Pro Gold. :)

Have they gone dead in both ears? normally they go in one ear. Have you tried a different set of earphones to rule out the detectors earphone socket.

Hi Tafflaff, thanks for the reply , just checked and the problem is on the headphones, the cable at the headphone jack point is broken so will have to tape it for now.

Hi Dave,
My headphones are hard wired so will have to find someone to put a new cable on.
Any suggestions as to where I could go to get this done would be great.
Des, my headphones are stereo, thank you ever so much for your kind offer of your spare set of headphones, I may take you up on your kind offer whilst mine are getting repaired.
Many thanks both
Mary

Mary
the only authorised distributer in the UK is:-
UNITED KINGDOM

SUN RAY UK DISTRIBUTOR

JOAN ALLEN  ELECTRONICS Ltd
190  Main Road
Bigginhill, Kent
TN16 3BB UK
01959 574234                                     sales@joanallen.co.uk
Give them a call.

I also purchased a pair of Sun Ray Pro earphones.
They also broke like yours after 1 months use.
I had to send them to the manufacturers repair shop in the US.
It cost me shipping both ways, almost half the cost of the headphones.
I now keep them as a backup spare, and use Gray Ghost NDT headphones, a superior headphone.
Ken

Hi Richard, Yes it was me you met at Oxwich, thankyou for that I will look out for you.

Hi Ken, Thanks for the info. I bought mine last year and really like them its just a shame they have broken. Next time I will be using an extension cable so as not to put any stress or strain on the headphone cable  :-[
