Title: Staffordshire Hoard finder Terry Herbert in million pound payout Post by: Sexy Legs (Leighton) on March 23, 2010, 09:36:01 PM The amateur treasure hunter man who unearthed Britain’s greatest hoard of Anglo Saxon gold with a metal detector bought at a boot sale for £2.50 is to receive a multi-million pound windfall after it was bought for the nation.

a guy i talk to on the bus bought a compass detector in a boot sale not so long back for £5, the receipt in the box was for $625. it wasn't very old, but he couldn't get it to work properly, in the end he took of the fiber glass coil cover that looked rough, then all of a sudden it worked great, he found a great silver charm bracelet down the beach a couple of weeks ago with it, over 10" deep. he may come to one of our meetings soon he said, Alan |
