Title: T2 settings
Post by: hedgehog on February 28, 2009, 09:00:50 PM
Geoff hasn't given us an option for Teknetics , is that discrimination?  ;D  ;D
Just thought I would let the T2 users know that the last few times I have been out have been trying 72  2  4 and the hammereds are coming home! May be a coincidence but it seems to be working for me.
There is a little bit of background noise but I can tolerate that if the silver keeps coming up!

I'm running sens 72, disc 10 and 2+ tones, and yes it does love silver ;D When im on a trashy site, I push the disc up to 40 with no loss of depth, just you cant hear those iffy signals as clear.

Totally agree Steve, keep discrim between 0-5 and it does seem to make the difference, can be a little noisey but the gain in depth and sensitivity is worth it,i never set disc much above 8,and have found more silver with the T2 than any other detector i've owned. ;D

Use all metal on mine 99% of the time and only go into discrim if theres that much iron i cant read around it or havent the time to snail over it. My settings are AM, max sens then back of till only just stable, fast grab then reduce -2 to -5 [-2 on most ground ok] runs quite hot but you know your getting max depth and reading everything beneath your feet.
