I look at loads of pics of jetons yesterday without finding it so you saved me further searches today. You've got quite a memory, being able to remember seeing it in you reference book. :)
Geoff Title: Re: Admins jetton from Hereford . . . Post by: The Doc on February 08, 2010, 08:23:52 PM Was a nice find Geoff. I have seen the design before, but the odd thing about it was the thickness - maybe three times thicker than most jetons.
Title: Re: Admins jetton from Hereford . . . Post by: seeker on February 08, 2010, 08:31:41 PM ive only seen one other thicky of them and that was a Hans Krauwinckel as well ,

good to see it in detail. this is a good website detailing all of hanns krauwinkel coin legends, http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/pages/nuremberg-jetons.html. (http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/pages/nuremberg-jetons.html.) cheers Title: Re: Admins jetton from Hereford . . . Post by: Mark on February 09, 2010, 12:28:22 AM My brother found an identical jetton some time back that, like Peters, is much thicker than the average jetton and appears to have a high silver content as its patina and lack of corrosion is not consistent with the average copper type, someone has even tried clipping it! I'll try and post a pic tomorrow.
