Title: My First George III Penny
Post by: 150aceboy on February 05, 2010, 06:50:33 PM
Went out today with the detector, not a bad day, found my first George III Penny (1806) very worn, but can clearly make out date and bust, also has the reverse die axis,  a Vicky Penny 1860,  2 x buckles,  1 x strap end,  1 x 2p,  2 x small snuff boxes,  2 x lead bag seals, 1 with writing on.
Not a bad day's finds.
Will add picture to post later.
Ace  ;)

Thanks guys, really getting into it now, all down to you guys for all your advice and tips, thanks all  ;)
Went back on Saturday morning, had another  George III coin, this time a Halfpenny dated 1799, although worn the date can just be seen  :) :), landed now.
Also had another load of pre-decimal pennys, halfpennys, an old wrist watch ( Broken ), and part of a braclet, i'll try to add pics in the morning ( Problem with Camera Charger at mo).
Ace  ;)
