Title: Finding land owners Post by: Jay on February 04, 2010, 11:58:55 AM Hi all, I have searched and cant find any info on finding land owners, maybe haven't searched well enough, apologies if thats the case. Would I be correct in thinking that I first need to get a ordnance survey map, and then take it to some one in the council and then enquire who owns such land? Or am I way off the mark. Cheers, Jay. I would try and find a local farm if I was you. You do not neccessarily need to be next to a castle. Use Google earth 1/ Zoom in on your Village 2/ Type in the search box 'Farms' 3 The farms in your area will flag up red 4/ Click on a Red flag and you'll have the name of farm , farmers name, postcode and Telephone number. 5/ Phone farmer introduce yourself politely and ask if you coud detect on his farm Job Done Title: Re: Finding land owners Post by: Sexy Legs (Leighton) on February 04, 2010, 01:05:56 PM There you go, Jay.

https://www.landregistry.gov.uk/wps/portal/Property_Search (https://www.landregistry.gov.uk/wps/portal/Property_Search) It does cost £4 per search but is well worth it.
