Title: romans for id please Post by: James on January 31, 2010, 10:47:38 PM hi these were found today i think there both republican, but thats it. the complete one was blank when found , i give it some silver foil treatment and it started to get so hot i could not hold it, there was actually steam coming off the coin wrapped in foil in the sink and when i used the foil on it again bits of silver flaked of it and the details were underneath ??? i had a similar situation with a nerva denarius that had a poor reverse, that too got very hot and flaked off some silver. sorry about the pic quality i have not got any batterys for my camera, so i had to scan them ;)
