Title: cleaning coins
Post by: Tafflaff (Rob) on February 26, 2009, 02:32:28 PM
I'm getting quite a few copper pennies/ pennies which are very dirty and faded , I use a soft toothbrush to clean tem, with but was wondering if there was a way of enhancing the faded raised designs on the coins.

If your copper coins aren't valuable you could use an ink eraser on them which would make the raised areas stand out.

Is it my imagination or can I hear hundreds of 'thuds' as scores of fainting 'don't-touch-your-finds-with-anything-but water' brigade hit the floor... ;D ;D
