Title: Mystery Object
Post by: 150aceboy on December 31, 2009, 10:04:05 PM
Hi all, i found this last sunday, showed it to  Ian(gadget), who thought the same as myself, a furniture fitting.
But after a bit of cleaning i'm not so sure now.
It's heavy about 4 oz, but its not lead, haven't a clue what metal it is  ??? the coin for comparison is a modern 5p
Any suggestions welcome
Ace  ;)

Looks to me like the foot of a small table leg perhaps. Is the right end (in the picture) flat or hollowed out?

Its completely round Alan and not hollowed out, its a solid piece, not unlike a Shamrock shape......
Leighton the top is flat and not hollow mate..........
