Normally I would be waiting by the door ready to rip the box out of the delivery mans hands, but I have had the machine on order since the end of September and the wait has taken a bit of the excitement out of it.

I suppose I better take a look at it in case it's broken or somethings missing.

It's a T2 LTD.

I am looking forward to using it on a few of my old Hammered sites, hopefully there will be a few more deep coins left there.

Steve.

that would be embarrasing, having to borrow a metal detector to find a metal detector :)

Lol. I was just saying to Steve (legacy) the other day, wouldn't it be ironic if you're on the beach and you hit a massive signal and when you dig it it's another metal detector. Of course he took it too far and said, "And with the guys skeletal hand still clutching it!"

 :)

Well I have put it together and it feels really nice and well balanced, no coil cover though which surprised me, but the machine comes with two coils and there is a coil cover on the 5 inch coil which I found odd, I will buy all the covers next week when  Regton is open.
Had a look through the manual and it looks easy to set up, very similar to the F75 I used to have, but what I am really looking forward to is going over two sites which have turned up scattered hoards in the past using the machines cache mode, fingers crossed.

Steve.

I was looking to get another detector and was recomended the T2 by a few people but in the course of the last few weeks the cost of them new has shot up two hundred pound for no apparent reason. Can any one explain.  ???

Probably the weak pound and the popularity.

probably greed by the retailer - -try approaching the manufacturer direct.

I phoned around just before Christmas and apparently the next batch of T2's will be coming into the country the end of January, and they have been taking orders for them for a while, this I think shows how good the machine is, as I do not remember any other machine in the last ten years being sold out so quickly.

Hi   Simon,  I had the F75 before this so I should be able to get an idea of the differences between the two machines, as the T2 & F75 I think were basically the same.
I am tempted to take it out this weekend but I hav'nt got any covers for it yet, if I get out I will let you know how I get on.

Steve.

I think the T2 and the Fisher f75 are having a bit of a revival they seem to have a bit of a cult following on the Net.
You could pick the Fisher up new for £450 years ago
I paid £650 and i see the in Detecting mags they done up again
If we all start Rubbishing the F75 and the T2 Maybe i could afford a new Ltb before next Xmas lol

Worth a try lol

Paul your right they did go up by £220 almost over night but it was a few months ago not weeks. the main reason was the launch of the 3 lesser powered Teknetics machines. they had to bump up the price of the T2 otherwise it would of been roughly the same price as the Omega 8000. Plus Etrac and V3 at £1300  showed what the market could stand.
