Hi mate, i recently read somewhere, i think in an old treasure hunting mag, that there is some sort of restriction around the old Wreck on the beach at Rhossili, and part of the beach, i'll try and dig it out for you and post it up mate.
Don't take my word for it though, perhaps someone on the site can throw some light on the area mate  ???
Cheers Ace  ;)

could not agree more with you viv, personally i would give it a wide berth,  with all thats going on about detecting at the moment. unless you are 101% on what the national trust areas are. my view only though :-\ :-\ :-\ mickycoin  mick

this may be a good time to remind everyone that to detect on beaches owned by the crown, you need to apply to the crown estate for a permit [it's free].

you can also download maps which identify where the crown owns the beaches, across the uk.

any other land not marked is either owned privately, or by the local council, or natioanl trust . .you should approach these bodies for permission before detecting on the beach.

cheers
