Cracking picture fella , still looks as stunning.  You can see the Tribal Leader's name plain at the top "Catti" . He reigned over the Northern area of the Dobunni tribe and succeeded Bodvoc at around 15bc

You are right Rob - it is very similar to Phils and Maxines. I am sure they both won't mind repeating the photos below.

I wonder if its all from within a close proximity - area wise.

Cheers
Neil

Hunter mate dont take my word for it mate but it says in my 2006 book here it could be worth anything up to £1250 depending on the condition , A very nice find indeed  ;D

Hunter

the answer to the question 'what's it worth' must always be 'what price can ever be put on our nations history!'

to try and put a monetary value on such items debases the hobby and only encourages the perception that detectorists are only ever in it for the money!

Congrats from me too!

It looks in stunning condition. I've never found a gold coin in over 20 years..........better
than any hammered..........I'm sure you'll get one of those before long as well! :o :o

Get it specifically insured on your house insurance, put it in a display cabinet and enjoy it
for years to come.
