the answer to the question 'what's it worth' must always be 'what price can ever be put on our nations history!' to try and put a monetary value on such items debases the hobby and only encourages the perception that detectorists are only ever in it for the money! It looks in stunning condition. I've never found a gold coin in over 20 years..........better than any hammered..........I'm sure you'll get one of those before long as well! :o :o Get it specifically insured on your house insurance, put it in a display cabinet and enjoy it for years to come.
