Well done Rob, it's a start.
There will be plenty more to come yet  ;) I still enjoy finding those cartwheels but even they don't come up that often!

Hammered next? Good luck.

Well done Rob - believe it or not they are not that common a find.

1797 is a good year to start with your first coin. Where ever you found that, there is likely to be more of the same age or earlier. Keep at it

Good historical coin that Taff, they weighed one oz and copper cost a penny an oz, think it was Boulton and Watt showing off the power of their machines at the Soho mint in Birmingham, took them a short while to realise that it wasn't economically wise to produce them!
If you were daft enough to carry a quids worth around it weighed over a stone (15 lbs)
