Could anyone tell me , are platform House sites any good to detect around?

No I wouldn't bother Taff , nothing to be found there  ;) , where is it? (pm me don't let the others know)!
Joking aside if it's a medieval village (or historic site) make sure that it is not scheduled, but anywhere within some distance of house platforms would be a good area to detect.

Its a medievel platform house thats in a farm property I got permission to detect on today, theres also a medievel track running behind the farm. Rhondda area

Sounds good to me , I would get on google and have a look at the aerial photos of the farm you have permission on that may give you some clues as to what else may be there. The trackways leading to them are always good places to look and any footpaths that may be around , and of course any field within the area is likely to throw up something
