If the detecting hobby is to survive for future generations. We all must have permission to detect on land from the land owner first ! Its like the court has given a green light to night hawking, well if i get caught just say, you didnt give me time to report the finds ! This time of year I am often out in the dark detecting, with head lamps etc, but always on ground i have permission to detect on and i always make sure the landowners knows I am about !
