Went out to a rape field that I haven't detected on before , the sheep have eaten some of it so good for detecting. Thought it would be interesting for others to see, coke was coming up good at depth but not so once it hit the surface (did dig two other pieces, and two pieces of iron :-[) . Anyway someone else has been detecting this farm for some time doesn't look like they have been on this field so hopefully there may be some nice finds on it!
Always something comes up that you are not expecting anyone know anything about the 65 Saskatchewan overseas regiment? I think it is the only thing the farmer will show any interest in. It never ceases to amaze me how things like a Canadian army badge end up in the british countyside. I know we had canadian troops temporarlly stationed in this valley (Cynon) WW2 Amazing whats around init ! |
