Correct me if I am wrong but the bulk of ploughing is down to about 9 ins and potatoes down to about12 - 14 inches. 4 feet is 48 inches. Nice hoard though and in very good condition. Would not complain for just a few of them.

If the detectors do go down that deep the detecting kit would need to include a jcb and planks of wood to shore up the sides
