Title: Which Detector to buy? Post by: jtalbot0001 on June 02, 2021, 04:46:19 PM Hi, somebody in my village has asked which detector is good to buy around the £200 price range. This person has never detected before. Also this is more for his younger son but he will use it too. Any ideas?

Post by: probono on June 07, 2021, 01:25:48 PM Agree with Greg - easy to use - and hold value especially if you buy a secondhand one - personally I found the bell ding sound annoying (my brother has one) - but others on here will tell you how much they have found with them.
I'd also prefer them over things like the GM 1+ - as they at least have some kind of indicator on them and are easier to gauge whether to dig or not to dig. Title: Re: Which Detector to buy?
