Have ya been detecting in South America? In my opinion (what do I know) looks like fair circa 1970s😁) I may and hope to be proven wrong.

Na ! It’s Egyptian. Design at least. If it is a replica it’s probably 1800’s early 1900’s
Unless Howard Carter dropped it somewhere  ;D

More important is, How the devil are you Nobby ? Are you managing to get out swinging again ?

Great to see you here after such a long break  ;D

p.s. what’s on the Lapis Lazuli insert ? anything ?

Hi Auntie Val  :)

I've had to give up detecting , as you know I've had back problems and it looks to be some sort of auto immune disease that attacks the spine.... I'm booked in to see a rheumatologist , hopefully they ll find out what's wrong and prescribe me something .
Back to the ring..... Pre Colombian in design and tests high carat almost pure gold.... could well be from the the Spanish Conquests  :)

Ha ! Goes to show what I know. Wrong again  ::)

Hope they get you sorted. Spent a few hours at Rheumatology dept at our local Hospital with John. He had full blown Polymyalgia. Same sort of thing as you but his affected all his muscles (look it up) got it under control, mainly with steroids plus one or two other nasty drugs.
Anyway, as you say, fingers crossed.

Where did the ring come from ?
