Title: Possible tiny token?
Post by: Stanley on March 31, 2020, 08:23:17 PM
Hello, apologies for the long break from posting. Recently I went out and discovered a tiny 'token'. I wonder if someone can help me identify it. It is 6mm in diameter and says 53 on it. There might also be lettering that looks like S D. The other side also has 53 on it but is not well defined. I would appreciate it if you know.
I have attached a photo

Thanks very much

Hope the link works🤞

Not quite what I wanted. The S is shillings & the D is old pennies. It was 1/4 of a guinea. (21 shillings)

Good site for ref.   http://www.colchestertreasurehunting.co.uk/f/findsindex.htm (http://www.colchestertreasurehunting.co.uk/f/findsindex.htm)
