Title: Help with ID
Post by: spaceonwhite on March 31, 2020, 02:51:37 PM
Hi guys,

This is a metal detecting find from Devizes but I actually won it on a facebook competition!

Just looking for an ID. I think it's an Ae Antoninianus Aurelian but can't be sure, so any additional info would be great.

Thank you!

Its not Aurelian, its this coin,

Claudius II

Claudius II AE Antoninianus. IMP C CLAVDIVS AVG, radiate, cuirassed bust right / SPES PVBLICA, Spes standing left, holding flower and raising robe.

RIC 102, Cohen 281; cf Sear 11374. (or similar)

Jon
