Title: Dog walking
Post by: carling2 on March 28, 2020, 01:54:13 PM
A nice groat found today while dog walking😉 to be fair I've decided to just chuck the dog outside in the garden now, I saw that many dog walkers today I thought I was at cruffs ( and yes I was at least 20ft apart in all instances and I'm shocked to say I was the only 1 wearing gloves) dangerous world out there.

I’ve found a few nice things while out with the dogs but that groat takes a bit of beating. I can see it’s a Henry but which one ?  It’s a cracker.

I’m glad to report that where I have been taking my dogs, this morning I only saw one man.
It is only a few minuets to get there and my excuse is, it’s a wide open space where it’s easy to avoid peeps and I go in the car because, although it’s at the end of our lane, it’s all up-hill and I can’t manage the gradient.

I assume the groat was a surface find. It really is in great condition.
I noticed the tankers in one of my fields yesterday and the plough this morning. But they’ve done about 1/3 and left it. Looking at it through bino’s I can see it’s still soaking wet.
It’s usually one if the last they plough so I reckon most of the others are done and prob. seeded by now. Heart breaking, I’ve been waiting so long for them to plough, now I can’t go.  I really don’t know if I’ll be up to it next year. Hey Ho !

Think yourself lucky you haven’t got 3 Terriers.
Always looking for an excuse to bark, if the little girl barks the 2 boys have to run to her aid, never fails.
Unless we go deaf we’ll never have burglars  :o

Hmmm, read of a guy who trained his dog to sniff out jet on North Eastern beaches and some of our dogs at the airport could sniff out drugs, explosives, and cash. Perhaps some of you doggy folks could train your dogs to find gold and silver. ;)
