Title: Latest Finds
Post by: celticspikey on February 09, 2020, 07:31:59 PM
Hi guys. It's been a such a long time since I posted anything. The weather at the end of last year kept me off my favourite fields due to sodden fields. Some farmers cultivated but the wet ground stopped them from planting, on the plus side it will happen soon as spring is near, then the fields will be available after a good plough.
Some of these finds are in the searcher magazine (Equinox Adventures) so apologies if you've already seen them.

I can see you’ve been laying around again Paul  ;D

Some very nice finds there and some Tudor. A bit different for you. Must have been a nice change to find something more modern. Love the brooches.
You’ve done well with the hammers as well but I se you’ve had to include a couple of Romans so they don’t feel left out  ::)

How am I ? Not as bad as some but better than most. Tail end of a mild touch of man flu but still going. Of course, the other half had full blown man flu.
Say no more  ;D

Amazed you are getting out in this weather - I certainly wish the storms could confine themselves to the working week :)

Typical  younger  generation  comment without  regard  to us older ones. Ìf good  weather  was confined  to weekends  us oldies  would  have  to  compete  with  you youngsters, you'll  be  wanting  lightweight  detectors  and wireless  pinpointers  next. I don't  know what  the  world  is coming  to , but I suspect  it's  a common  market policy. 😉😉😉

I fail to see what the above comments have to do with Paul’s wonderful finds.  >:(

If you’ve got a gripe start a thread of your own. We all love a good moan. I’m sure it would attract many comments.

Jeez my point was   yes I said there good finds) is that nobody hardly posts anything on here but we hear a lot about the weather.. Land is still available and there are detectable days I've been out loads and saw many that have just depends how dedicated you are I suppose( again about someone making good finds) which side of the bed did you get out of?  I did remove the post as I thought hey what? But that's the context and I think it was relevant.

In my case I was being appreciative of the fact that some of us are getting out and finding wonderful things :)

And I took Dungbeetle's comment in the humourous vein it was intended :D - especially as - I am regarded as one of the 'old' ones in work - certainly the only one who is married and has children......

I try and go out when I can on the weekends - I didn't manage it this last weekend, but did the weekend before. There are some permissions that won't let me on them at the moment because of the weather - and even on those that do, there are areas where waders would be a good idea.

I think comments on the weather are very British - most of my farmer friends are complaining about it too.

But that doesn't detract from the stuff Paul finds and shares with us, which is appreciated :)

Now, what can I do about my tennis elbow?

I'm out at weekend on a dirt( more like mud field😁)  but it's a huge block of fields on a roman road just outside Hereford so even I won't mind getting covered in s=) %t.... And yes celtic they are very nice finds😁

Thanks  for taking  my comment  as I intended, it was tongue  in cheek. Some people  obviously  suffer  from a sense of humour  bypass .
