Could someone ID this for me. found near Norwich.

Don’t know but I’d say it was def worth recording if for no other reason than to get a proper ID.
It’s certainly very old, almost Zoomorphic which might put age as early as late 5th cent.

Let us know if you get any info 👍


p.s. you’ll need some better pics. The ones above are out of focus  ;)

Thanks Val, took photos with phone, I thought it might be quite old due to the Patina.
Now that someone else thinks it’s interesting will take some better shots and show it to our FLO.

FLO said it was a Roman casket handle end (whatever that means).
