Title: Celtic Gold
Post by: celticspikey on April 09, 2019, 11:56:47 AM
Yesterday the sun was shining, as were the Celtic detecting God's. Dobunic Gold Stater (Corio)...Just missed the coin in the hole, a little prizing out on to finger, wahed off, lie down and contemplate.

Well done! That looks amazing!!! I can only dream of finding a Celtic coin. And how I would love to be on ground like that, one farm and pasture for 13 years is driving me nuts lol.

Very nice :)

Must be a common find as I saw one found on a GDC rally a few weeks ago :)

(I'd love to find one of course!)

You look, unsurprisingly very happy!

Hi Andre, sorry i've not replied to you. Yes mate the Nox has been a game changer for my finds rate. It has been pulling up consistently deep finds especially on a couple of my pasture fields which I have searched for years with the Deus ( I am not knocking the Deus I wouldn't dare) I love it....I regularly dig beyond 12" for artefacts and coinage and I'm not talking big georgian coins but hammies etc. To answer your question 14" on a Groat easy.  ;)

Which is sort of why I bought mine - to re-search say my hoard field - it's already found me one gold hammy, so you never know, it might find more in the field I found the first lot. It has certainly found coins in fields that had been 'worked out' using several other machines.
