Title: A few bits, possible blade? and A ring?
Post by: BeachHunter101 on March 30, 2019, 04:20:35 PM
The ring is super thin and brittle, I'm wondering how it survived! could it be a finger ring?
The unusual blade item is still sharp, I cannot think what it could be.
I haven't a clue what the other item is, could it be a more modern drawer handle or something completely different?
any ID's would be much appreciated ;D
Thank you!

The last one is a coat hook, Victorian or later:

I think the ring is a metal gasket of an old, old machine.

Hubby suggests the first item could be a gate latch but I’m not convinced.

I see you’ve got a few buttons as well. Sure to be something nice in amongst the other bits. Hammy next time h ;)

Thanks Doc!  ;D

Thank you Val, Yes I got a few buttons, including a nice silver gilt one. I also got a lead seal from London, some more musket balls, a few Victoria and Georgian coins the earliest being a George II, and one Irish Hibernia halfpenny. They are all in bad condition the ground hasn't been kind to them unfortunately but it's still really nice to find them ;D and yes I would love to find a hammered still on my bucket list 8) ;)
