Title: Good quality headphones recommendation wanted.
Post by: Landyman on March 23, 2019, 08:22:08 PM
Can anyone recommend a decent make of headphones please?

A few years ago I bought a secondhand pair of Gray Ghost headphones which I found to be very good. Recently a wire broke on them but the only way to repair is to take off the ear pads. Problem is that they dont come off without destroying things and cannot buy replacements.

So I am now looking for something else preferably with removable ear pads.
Also wondered if anyone has some for sale?

Give Regtons a ring re. repairs. They’re still selling them. A few on E.Bay as well, all new, none 2nd  hand

Think they’re going out of fashion, all wireless these days. Best of luck with repairs.

I would 100% suggest you look at Big D,s Headphones bespoke builds and repairs. on Facebook.
Superior components are used and very Professionally built all at reasonable prices, he will build you a set to suit your requirements.
Top notch bloke and knows his stuff. his name is Darren and very well respected, mention that Paul Baker pointed you in his direction.
it might help.
I have a hand built set for my makro multi Kruzer waterproof and amazing value.
Hope that helps PaulB. 8)

I rang a few places the other day including Regtons but they cant help other than sell me another pair.
I dont think I want grey Ghosts again as they seem to be unrepairable and no parts available.
