Title: Pasture Search Post by: celticspikey on March 12, 2019, 08:10:48 PM Back in to the pasture field again at the end of last week, digging was easy due to the rise of the river next to the field, it's not that its flooded over the field it's just the water table level when digging at 8" plus is soaking, so much so that one hole I dug I lost the signal at 10" as the hole just filled up with water, I was down to a foot and that's where the signal stayed, I have marked the hole and will return to recover the signal when it drys up. If you've searched beaches at low tide enough it will be inevitable you lose the odd signal due to water filling the hole and collapsing the sides of the hole, I have experienced this lots of times but not in land Lol, I will inform you when I Recover the signal. Any way here's the best of the two finds on the day. A Short cross hammy was the very first signal followed by the lead item.......I thought it was a a part of a window frame but is too chunky and a strange shape, I now know what it is after some research. Just for fun feel free for your suggestions, I am sure it won't take long for an ID... ;)
