Title: etrac coils
Post by: raistlain on March 03, 2019, 11:03:46 AM
What large coil would you etrac users recommend from experience ? . Are you getting more depth or just more ground coverage. If more depth how much more. Pros and cons of large coil on etrac ? 🤔

Please see my response to the other request.

I used today my E-TRAC - although I have also used the SE-PRO and have and use a CTX.

The last couple of times I've been out with my CTX I've ended up with hip pain for about a week after using it - with the 17" coil.

As a consequence, I've gone back to using my E-TRAC to check if it was just me, or there was something else.

I've had no problem using the E-TRAC (without a harness) and the 13" Ultimate coil - I'm on my second one - the first I got in 2012, and within a week of getting it found a hoard of gold and silver hammered coins in a field I'd been detecting for at least three years with my SE-PRO and the standard coil.

It's a good balance between size and weight - so much so that I sold my standard coil (although I appreciate there are times that a smaller coil would be good too).

Thanks appreciate your help...the 13 inch does look a good buy 👍
