Title: Equine Flue
Post by: wittsy1 on February 08, 2019, 02:28:04 PM
Just got this off another forum.

Hi everyone, there is an outbreak of Equine Influenza in the UK, this has led to all horse racing being abandoned today.
If you are Fishing
Detecting, Rambling, Dog walking or Cycling and pass any fields with Horses in,
please do not approach or fuss them. This strain of the virus is, foreign and is described as 'rogue', it is highly contagious and is airborne. It can live on people's clothing and possibly dogs, for days.
Please help us to contain the outbreak by staying away.
Pls share or copy and paste x
Thank you for your understanding!
Please for our horses sakes take notice of this. (equine flu is much like human flu in as much as it can kill the young

I wonder if it can be passed on to humans like swine flue, bird flue, and badger TB?  :(
