Title: Out today
Post by: BeachHunter101 on February 02, 2019, 06:40:58 PM
Out again today, does anyone know what the decorative item is. Looks to be from a horse? my first thought was a horse brass but I can't find anything similar. It was 9 inches down.  Also the other item my first thought was a broken piece off a dagger/sword/ socket bayonet blade with the raised piece in the middle. The other side seems very shiny with a small hole in it. It was found where I found 15 musket balls. But it also could be junk.
Thank you ;D

Well done on finding it. I gave up after about 5 pages. There’s some really lovely ones on that site. I could see the appeal f collecting them.
They were quite a fashion back in the 1960/1970’s all attached to a leather backing to hang on the wall or fire-place. Needless to say, they were cheap repro’s. I had a couple, they went in the bin eventually  ;D
