Title: Back to the hammered Post by: DEADLOCK on January 16, 2019, 12:43:18 PM Had a day off yesterday so couldn't resist going out detecting, started slowly nothing much before lunch possible roman grot bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee. Wasn't long before I had the Pilgrim ampulla no marking on it then few hours later william lll sixpence very worn and thin, followed by a acorn draw swing handle. Mixed in with the usual buttons and lead and foil.

I'm thinking about detecting this weekend, and and all I can hear is the rain hammering against my windows..... I'm using the time to research my 'new' permission - discovered one of the reasons I'm not finding much roman is that there is up to 5 feet of modern rubbish in places.
