Great for us in the South, sorry those in the North are left out. Should be a good boost for the hobby locally, because of course there's been no detecting shop in South Wales since Tony and Elaine Maz closed their retail shop in Porth (quite a few years ago now). Funny quirk fate, a few years before Tony had his shop, i used to run a business from the same premises in Ynysir. I started detecting after a chance meeting with Elaine, i was walking my Lassie collie and she was detecting an old Parish road in the Rhondda Fach, i asked, had she "found anything" and she told me about Tony,s RARE club, so rushed out and bought a Treasure ace, from Regton not from Tony he hadnt opened his shop them. After 6-7 years of detecting on my own first then with Des my father-in-law, i finally turned up at a club meeting,........ i dont like to rush into things lol Title: Re: New but Established Metal Detecting Shop opens in Wales.
