Title: New land acquired
Post by: Stanley on December 11, 2018, 08:34:26 PM
I had to share...as none of my family are interested :P
I emailed a landowner today to ask about permission in another field adjacent to the ones he has already given me

I got a reply saying I could have it...and...
the garden of a 17th century house
Another field close by
Some fields he manages in the next town
A large estate north of Caerphilly

Fully happy tonight ;D Happy to share them with other forum members in Gwent area

Congratulations Stanley  :D

It's a great feeling when you get new land. Will look forward to seeing your finds on here!

Great news :)

Although I know what you mean by family members not being interested - my wife is always asking when I am going to give up.....

I am glad you having luck with gaining permissions too.

But you metaldetect!

I often suggest she comes out for a detect, but she always says no, as I suspect she is worried she might like detecting!

It’s a case of ‘the mind is willing’ but ‘the body is weak’. More and more these days my poor old body says ‘When are you going to give up you silly old b###er ?’
The settee seems a much better option than a muddy, wet and cold field.  ::)

I am itching to get on the land. There is a bit of footpath and a field next to a railway siding that has not been looked at. I am going to leave the old house for when I have a full day. On Saturday I hope to find a couple of hours on the footpath but I am on call for work.

If all goes well I should have some finds to put on here and on the Youtube channel
