When walking on the fields you could feel the history. There was pottery, oyster shells and fossils everywhere. There was some amazing things found what an experience it was :)
Any id's would be much appreciated. Could the flint possibly be a bronze age tool? an arrowhead was found on the day(not by me) The item that looks like it had a hole in it at one time it is quite heavy I think it's made out of bronze could it possibly be a roman coin? The bronze artefact has some design around the edges. And does anyone know the age of the small buckle? it does have some design on it maybe it's medieval? As a marshall and good friend of Gary Cooke who organised the rally with the help of some of his good friends in our club it was a fantastic event. I Won't say how much was raised as were still topping it up,
suffice to say it is a Huge amount of money. I will do a write up and post some finds in the week hopefully, I know Gary will be doing an account of the weekend in the searcher soon.
