Anyway, obviously like everyone else its hard to get out in the growing season so finds are affected, that said I managed a few hours on some old pasture yesterday and came up with these 2 little hammys. The short cross cut half is as yet not ID, the Penny however is a very nice Penny of Henry 2nd. Mint Exeter (Roger + ROGER ON EXECE). The ground was hard, and I had to keep an eye out for cattle in next field as they had access to my field and I did not want to come between mummies and babies for obvious reasons....Hope you enjoy the coins, just getting ready for another session just in case I am on ROLL.. :D ;) Title: Re: Hammy Day Post by: dragonsbreath(Paul) on June 15, 2018, 07:31:17 AM Well done fantastic short cross...very nice.....Paul. 8)

The second cut half - you have the right-hand side of the obverse - looks a fairly similar class to the previous one (row of pellets as bottom of crown), reverse has 'L ON LV' - so definitely London mint, could be Willel perhaps.
