Title: saturdays outing
Post by: relicron on June 11, 2018, 07:59:27 PM
Myself and tom, went out on Saturday,we know all the crops are in and growing well, but we do have a lot of ground with game cover crops and they only just put the seed in,so we are ok for a while, easy walking easy digging, but just to hot and to dry, while tom had a bag of buttons and odds and sods,i did manage to get 7 roman grots and a lovely litte brooch with a tiny bit of enamel on it,hope it cools down for next week, because we'll probably be back on the game cover, but we do have a couple of old ridge and furrow fields to do,which we haven't touched yet, well happy digging guys, cheers ron & tom ;)

Well done both. You brought home the bacon home again despite the heat.
Unusual small brooch but nice to see a bit of enamel on it.

Temps are s’posed to be much lower this week but windy. Best of luck with your next outing.

Finding it a bit frustrating Ron. New machine and very high temperatures Haven’t helped.
The way round a new detector is plenty of practice and I’ve missed the best part of the year for that.
But there’s always the beach  ;D
