Title: Lead Pot Top Post by: Val Beechey on June 06, 2018, 05:49:09 PM I don't expect anyone will be able to say 'Oh yes it's the top of a pot of Yardleys face cream' but maybe a comment or two, ideas, age etc.
Unbelievably it was a good 2ft down, well below the deep plough and deep litter turned in as manure. it weighs 9 1/2 ounces and seems to have a dotted pattern around the edge of the top and inner rim. Also a depression on the top suggesting a pattern or insert.
