Title: A few Pieces
Post by: celticspikey on May 26, 2018, 05:10:24 PM
Hi guys as promised albeit late  ::) several short trips nothing of real note, but a bit of history nonetheless. Several musket shot and a lead weight. A part buckle, thimble, also the very tip and edge of a Bronze Age Axe head one day I will get a complete one I promise  ;) A broken fibulae and a grot Roman. A crotal bell. And finally some fragmented hammies not yet ID.....At least it gives us something to look at on DW in these lean times. ;)

Well found Paul. Like I said, your ordinary gross are our treasure.
Like that crotal Bell. I’d love to find a whole one. Even the bits I have found weren’t from around here.
The buckle piece is nice, very feminine.. and some musket balls for the boys.
Tell you what, I’ll swop you my Sharks tooth for the crotal bell  ;D
Thanks for posting.

I'd call that a pretty good outing, I like the crotal bell as well.
