Honestly I can’t make out anything intelligent on either side. Best you can do is make guess by comparing sizes e.g. penny, half penny. Like Greg said you’ll soon have dozens of the blooming things. It's about two milemeters thick at it's center..but tapering out to a very thin edge. My other observation is that it's heavy for its size....just doesn't feel like a usual junk coin. At 2mm thick, it sounds like an early 19th century 1/2 penny coin of George III - after a while you will find enough of these to know roughly what they look like when they are corroded / worn and see the difference between them and the 18th century halfpennies.
